How do I request a refund for my transaction?
All transactions made on Givebutter are final, per our terms of service.
However, refunds can be issued in exceptional circumstances, at our sole discretion. If you've recently made a donation and would like to see if we can process a refund, please forward your email receipt to [email protected] and let us know how you'd like your refund.
There are two possible solutions to refund requests:
1. If you inadvertently left a tip, we'd be more than happy to apply it as part of your donation. We can transfer the tip you gave to Givebutter to the Campaign which you supported.
Before you choose this option, please know that tips go a long way toward sustaining our low-fee business model. We provide our platform free to everyone. Users don't pay anything to create an account and run a campaign, and never see a bill from us. Without your tips, we would not be able to support this model and pride ourselves in making all fees transparent.
Please note that we are not able to credit tips towards ticket purchases unless an additional donation was made to the organization. If this is the case, only a full refund is possible.

2. We can process a full refund, including any applicable fees and tips.
Partial refunds are not yet possible due to technical limitations. The refund will take 5-10 business days to appear on your statement.
Please note that we will not be able to refund your transaction if its funds have already been withdrawn. In this situation, all requests for refunds should be made directly to the campaign administrator.
