Does Givebutter issue tax receipts?

Givebutter automatically issues receipts to donors, which can be customized with a message including tax-pertinent information.

Verified 501(c)3 nonprofits will automatically have their EIN included on the receipt. Learn more. If the beneficiary of your fundraising campaign has 501(c)3 non-profit status, you can optionally add tax-pertinent information to the automatically generated thank-you message, such as:

  • A statement that the organization provided no goods or services in exchange for the contribution (if that was the case)

  • A statement that the organization is a 501(c)3 tax-exempt organization

Every donor to your campaign will receive this message immediately after donating, both on the campaign page and via email.
