It's never been easier to reveal a donor's giving capacity. Givebutter users have access to DonorSearch's robust prospect research data, which can be accessed with a single click from any contact profile.
How it works π
DonorSearch is a leading provider of prospect research for nonprofits and organizations of all types. Pulling information from the largest philanthropic database, DonorSearch uses proprietary algorithms to surface actionable insights, giving history and wealth intelligence that connects more people to your cause.
With DonorSearch's wealth screening tools baked right into Givebutter contacts, you're able to analyze supporters based on their capacity and likelihood to give. Instead of guessing at your fundraising strategy, you'll go in knowing who to ask and which appeal to make to increase your odds of securing a donation.

Available data π
DonorSearch Rating: A score for a contact's propensity to give. DS1-1 is top opportunity, DS1-5 is lowest qualified opportunity, DS3 doesn't have high-quality matched data.
Target Based On Wealth: Giving potential based on a proprietary algorithm that estimates net worth based on known markers of wealth. The range is roughly 10% of the estimated net worth or 2% per year over a five-year pledge. This can be used as an aspirational target or a 5-year giving capacity.
Major Gift Likelihood: Rating that shows the prospect's likelihood of being a major gift donor based on a combination of external giving matches and internal giving history to your organization. 300 = most likely; 0 = least likely. If there is no internal history, the rating will only be based on external giving.
Annual Gift Likelihood: Rating that shows the prospect's likelihood of being an annual fund donor based on a combination of external giving matches and internal giving history to your organization. 300 = most likely; 0 = least likely. If there is no internal history, the rating will only be based on external giving.
Total Likely External Gift Amount: Total dollars the individual likely donated to all charitable organizations.
Lowest External Gift Amount: Lower range of the individual's single largest gift elsewhere
Largest Gift Organization: Name of the organization where the individual made their single largest gift
