Each Givebutter account has its own settings, which allow you to personalize your account to suit your organization's preferences. These overall account settings also act as a template for all your campaigns and account activity on the site. New campaigns inherit these details by default.

To edit your account details, click on Account in the left-hand menu bar of your dashboard.

About tab πŸ”

Organization Profile

  • Edit the name of your account (the name of the organization shown on all campaigns)

  • Add a tagline

  • Change your account timezone

  • Add links to your social accounts

If added, your tagline and social links are only visible in your Giving Hub.

Address

Add your organization's address to the account. You must add an address to your account in order to use the Givebutter mobile app or Engage.

Branding

  • Upload your organization's main logo (used for campaign pages and Landing Pages) and email logo (used for Engage emails)

  • Add a default cover photo and theme color for all campaigns on your account (can be overwritten on the campaign level)

Landing Page

Here, you can find the link/URL to your Landing Page or Giving Hub. When you create an account, you default to a Landing Page. You can request a Giving Hub at any time. You can only have either a Landing Page or a Giving Hub – you cannot have both.

If you add information to the Content section, your mission statement and about section will only appear on the Giving Hub if it has been enabled. This information will not be displayed if you have a Landing Page.

You can also enable General Donations here, which will either appear on the Landing Page or the Giving Hub. This creates a special donation button that appears on your Landing Page/Giving Hub for donations unrelated to any specific campaign.

Settings tab βš™οΈ

General

These options need to be enabled here first in order to include recurring donations or dedications on campaigns. Recurring donations can then be configured on a per-campaign basis on individual campaign settings.

Text-to-Donate

Configure Text-to-Donate keywords for your campaigns. Donors send a text message including your keyword to a specified phone number, and in reply, they are sent a link to donate to your campaign.

Thank You Message

Create a default thank you message for all of your campaigns. You can also set a more specific thank you message per campaign.

Funds

Create and manage Funds, also known as donation designations.

My Notifications

Manage your notifications for the entire account or for campaigns individually.

Your notification settings are for the profile you are currently logged in with. Neither you nor Givebutter can manage notifications for other profiles. They will need to log into the account and manage their notifications themselves.

Integrations tab πŸ”—

Third Party

Enable and manage third-party integrations. Direct integrations you can utilize with Givebutter include:

  • Bloomerang

  • Chariot (DAF)

  • ThankView

  • DonorSearch

  • Double the Donation

  • Google Analytics

  • Facebook Pixel

Zapier

Zapier lets you connect Givebutter to over 2,000 other web services and integrations. Automated connections called "Zaps" are set up in minutes with no coding. Each Zap has one trigger app and one receiving app. The trigger sends information to the receiving app to initiate one or more actions automatically, and best of all, you can manage these automations right from your Givebutter dashboard.

Widgets

Create, customize, and manage Givebutter Widgets, which are used for embedding campaigns on external websites.

API

Givebutter is proud to be among the few fundraising platforms that offer a free, open, and public API for developers. You can generate any number of API keys. You can also name and delete API keys and view stats.

Users tab πŸ‘€

Invite and manage users on your account or change role types for existing users.

Only account admins will see the Users tab and have the ability to invite new admins and editors to manage this account.

Imports tab πŸ“

History

View all previous contact imports or transaction imports, regardless if they were successful or failed. You can also download the file you used or download just failed records.

Recurring Plans

View any previous recurring plan imports.

You can create new contact imports, recurring plan imports, or transaction imports on this page by clicking New Import at the top.
