The Givebutter and Wix integration allows US-based organizations to connect their Givebutter account directly to their Wix website, making it easy to embed a donation widget, sync campaigns, and raise money from your site without any manual coding or complex setup.
However you set up your integration, every donation is still processed through Givebutter. Wix does not process funds, never has access to donor payment information, and doesn't take a cut of what you raise.
Create a Wix site ➕
If you're a Givebutter user who doesn't have a website yet, you can sign up for Wix and create your site from your Givebutter dashboard. From your Givebutter dashboard, you can build a new Wix website without creating a separate Wix login – you'll be signed in automatically using your Givebutter account.
Please note that this process can only be initiated from a desktop computer, not a mobile device.
In your Givebutter account, navigate to Settings, and click on Integrations.
Click on Wix, and click Create a Wix website. You'll be redirected to Wix to set up your new site. Wix gives you two options: create a new site from a template, or create with AI.
From a template 📁
Select Templates. Select the template that fits your organization best.
Click Create Your Site at the bottom of the page.
Create with AI 🪄
Select Create with AI. This option will pull information about your organization from your Givebutter account to pre-fill the prompt. This is added for convenience, but is editable if you want to make any changes.
Then, click Create Your Site at the bottom of the page.
Finalize your site ✏️
For both options, you'll be signed into Wix. This is done via Givebutter, and no separate login is needed. You'll be prompted to grant permission to allow Wix to access your Givebutter account data, and your site will be created.
Your new site comes pre-filled with your campaign's info and a donation button. Available information includes: how much you've raised so far, your campaign goal amount, campaign description, and campaign photo.
Please note that not all created Wix sites will pull in all of this data, however you can make any changes you'd like before publishing your site.
To add additional Givebutter elements to your site, click the Add Elements icon in the left side panel, and click App Widgets.
Under the section called Givebutter, click Givebutter Donation Widgets.

Premium Wix features 💳
This is a free integration, and having an account on Givebutter and Wix are both free. However, if you want a custom domain (and more options), you may want to upgrade to a Wix Premium plan.
Free: a Wix account and website with a Givebutter donation widget connected to one campaign. Givebutter branding stays visible on the widget.
Wix Premium: everything in Free, plus a custom domain (like www.yournonprofit.org instead of a generic Wix address), the ability to feature more than one campaign, and the option to remove Givebutter's branding from the widget.

Who can use this integration?
All accounts on Givebutter can use the Wix integration! You do not need to be a verified nonprofit account. This integration is currently available to U.S. nonprofits only.
Does Wix have access to my donations or donor information?
No, all donations are still processed through Givebutter. Wix never processes payments, cannot access or save donor payment info, and doesn't take a cut of what you raise.
I already added a Givebutter widget to my Wix site manually. Do I need to redo it?
No, your existing widget setup should keep working as-is.
Can I feature more than one campaign on my Wix site?
On a free Wix plan, your widget is tied to one campaign at a time. Featuring more than one campaign requires Wix Premium.
