If you'd like to view your contact data in third-party software like Excel, Numbers, or Google Sheets, you can easily export your data into a CSV file.
Exporting contact details ๐พ
Log into your Givebutter dashboard.
In the left-hand menu bar, click on Contacts.
If youโd like to add filters to the data or only export a specific segment, select those now.
Click the three dots icon on the top right, and choose either Active or Archived contacts.
Click Export > Export to CSV, then Export again in the popup.
Your report will be sent to your email. In the email, click the DOWNLOAD button or copy and paste the provided link into your browser. This email link is good for 48 hours.
For security purposes, you must be logged in to Givebutter to view/download your CSV. If you're having trouble downloading your link, make sure you are logged in using the same web browser you requested the report from. Sometimes email clients will redirect you to a different browser, which will cause download issues.
The CSV file will then download to your device. Check your Downloads folder to open in a file reader like Excel, Numbers, or Google Sheets.

Troubleshooting ๐
If you're generating reports, but aren't receiving our emails, please do the following troubleshooting steps before contacting us:
Ensure you've checked your email spam/junk box. Because these emails are sent from no-reply address, email providers may categorize them as junk mail.
Sometimes, these messages are filtered into folders previously set up in email accounts, or they're deleted automatically. Check any relevant folders.
Search your inbox for "[email protected]".
Check your email settings to be sure the address [email protected] is whitelisted, a firewall isn't blocking us, or there isn't some server issue.
If you've tried all of these options, and you're still having trouble receiving export emails, please contact our team โ we'd be happy to assist!
