For donors 💳
You can donate to a Givebutter campaign from almost anywhere in the world. All donations are processed in USD. Regarding international donations where currency must be exchanged into USD, please note that your bank or financial institution may apply additional fees.
If you live outside the US, you must select your country in the billing information screen.
International phone numbers
Donors can enter international phone numbers. If you're having trouble entering an international phone number, ensure that you're entering it without spaces and parentheses, including a "+" as the international prefix.
UK example: 076572274 will not work. +4476572274 will work.
Ireland example: 353 (87) 241 3981 will not work. +353872413981 will work.
For users operating campaigns 💰
We are located in the United States and work primarily with US-based entities (or entities with a US presence). To run a campaign on Givebutter, you will need:
US bank account (account and routing number, not Payoneer or PayPal)
US government-issued EIN number (or US government-issued Social Security Number if you do not have an EIN)
US-based phone number
Organizations without a US presence may not be able to complete registration.
Givebutter does not operate in the following countries, some of which we are prohibited from doing business with. Campaigns will not be accessible in these countries:
Iran
North Korea
Libya
Pakistan
Russian Federation
Saudi Arabia
Somalia
Sudan
Syria
