About email senders ✉️

An email sender is an email address that messages from Engage are sent from. You can add multiple email senders, but you must add at least one to complete setup and send your first message.

Email senders must be real, usable email addresses that already exist on your connected email domain. Givebutter isn't capable of creating new email addresses on your behalf – we can only connect to existing ones.

FAQ 🤔

My organization has a website domain, but we use Gmail for email. Can we connect gmail.com email addresses?

No – you can only connect email addresses that end in the same domain you connected the DNS records with. This is because you do not have access to edit DNS settings for the entire gmail.com domain. You can only add these for a domain you own. You'll need to create a new email address using your custom domain.

What happens if I add a sender, but don't verify the email address?

You will not be able to send out an email from an unverified email sender. Please note that you can send yourself test emails in Engage from an unverified sender, but you cannot deploy a real outbound Engage email.
