How to manage your fundraising page

Edit, share and invite donors to your fundraising page, and manage every page you run from your donor portal.

Peer-to-peer fundraising is an effective and fun way to raise money for causes you care about. Raise more for your favorite campaigns by adding photos, a story, and a goal to your personal fundraising page. View a sample fundraising page →

Before you start, you'll need to join the campaign you want to fundraise for! Learn how in our guide →

Once you've joined, you can manage your fundraising pages in two places:

  • In your donor portal, you can see every page you run in one place, change teams, send personalized donor invites, view your event tickets, and release pages you manage for someone else.

  • On the campaign page itself, Share & Manage lets you edit your page.

In the donor portal 🏠

Your donor portal shows every fundraising page you own or manage for the organization, all under one login. That includes pages you've set up for other people. To get there, select the portal link in any Givebutter email. You can also select Open dashboard in the grey banner at the top of the campaign page when you're logged in. Once you're signed in, select Fundraising from your portal home page.

Each campaign shows your progress toward your goal (or the amount raised, if you haven't set a goal) and how many pages you have registered. Select Manage pages to manage your pages for that campaign.

On the Manage pages screen, the campaign and event details are on the left. In the middle, you'll see quick stats for all your pages on that campaign (amount raised, number of pages, donors, and average per page), with a card for each page below.

Add a profile picture 💁

  • Click your name in the upper right corner of your portal, then select Sign-in & security.

  • Click Edit next to your profile photo and upload your image. We recommend using JPEG or PNG formats.

Change team 👥

Changing teams gives you the same options you had when you joined the campaign. You can go solo, join an existing team, or start your own team.

  • On a campaign's Manage pages screen, select a specific fundraising page and click Change team in the righthand menu.

  • Choose Go solo, Join a team, or Start a team, then confirm. The available options may depend on how the campaign has been set up. Make sure to save your changes.

If you start or join a team, a team card will appear at the top of your Manage pages screen, with its own goal, amount raised and progress bar. From the team card, you can view the team page, see its members, and share it.

If you leave a team to fundraise solo, you'll be removed from the team, but the team itself isn't deleted, even if no one else has joined it.

Share your page 📣

Select your page on the Manage pages screen. At the bottom of the right panel, you can share your page to Facebook, X, LinkedIn or WhatsApp, send it by email, or copy your page link.

Invite donors ✉️

Your portal has an invite tool that lets you personalize your message before it's sent. You can invite up to 10 people at a time.

  • On a campaign's Manage pages screen, select a specific fundraising page and click Invite donors in the righthand menu.

  • Enter each person's first name and email or phone number. Select Add another to add more people, up to 10 entries per message.

  • Review or customize the message in the Preview message panel. The {{first_name}} tag in the message is replaced with each person's name.

  • Select Send invite.

We'll automatically follow up with up to 2 reminders if someone hasn't donated yet. Everyone you've invited is listed under Invited, with a count of how many have given. Each person shows as Pending until they donate, then shows the amount they gave. Donors you didn't invite still count toward your page's totals and donor count, but they won't appear in this list.

View event tickets 🎟️

If your fundraising page came with an event ticket, like a registration for a walk or dance marathon, select View event tickets to go straight to your tickets for that event. How to manage your event tickets →

Assign a page 🔄

If you're managing a fundraising page for someone else, you can assign it to them so they can manage it from their own donor portal. You'll stay listed as the original owner, so you can reassign the page later if needed. If the page is linked to an event ticket, the ticket moves with it.

  • On a campaign's Manage pages screen, select a specific fundraising page and click Assign page in the righthand menu.

  • Enter the details (first/last name and email) of the person you wish to assign the page to, and click Assign page to confirm.

Release a page 👋

If someone else registered you and bought your ticket, you can release your page back to them if you no longer want to manage it. The page (and its event ticket, as applicable) go back to the person who bought the ticket.

  • On a campaign's Manage pages screen, select a specific fundraising page and click Release page in the righthand menu.

  • Select Release page to confirm.

You can't release a page you registered/paid for yourself.

Edit your page details ✍️

Your display name, goal and story are edited from your page on the campaign site. Any changes you make will appear on your public fundraising page. You'll get there from Edit page in your portal, or by going to your fundraising page directly:

  • Navigate to your personal fundraising page. This will resemble the main campaign page, but below the cover photo and goal bar, you'll see a light grey box displaying your information.

  • Select Share & Manage in this box, then select the Edit Page tab on the My Fundraising Page popup.

  • On the Edit Page tab, you can:

    • Display Name – Edit how your name is displayed on the public campaign page.

    • Fundraising Goal – Set or edit an optional (personal) fundraising goal.

    • My Story – Write a bio for your page, including images (5MB or less each), links, and video (50,000 characters max)

  • Scroll to the bottom of the window and click Save Page.

FAQ 🤔

Can I manage fundraising pages for my kids without separate email addresses?

Yes! Every page you register appears under Fundraising in your donor portal, so you can manage several pages from one login. Each page gets its own card on the Manage pages screen.

What's my fundraising page URL?

You can find your page link in your donor portal. Select Fundraising, select Manage pages on the campaign, then select your page. Your link is listed under your name in the right panel, and you can copy it from the share options at the bottom. You'll also find it in the email Givebutter sends when you join a campaign, or by clicking your picture in the team members section of the campaign page. Your link will look like "givebutter.com/campaign-name/your-name".
