You can export printable bidder cards in PDF format to assist with running your live auction event or paddle raise auction. These cards are formatted with two bidder numbers per each piece of 8.5"x11" paper.

Exporting bidder number cards πŸ’Ύ

  • Click on Campaigns in the left-hand menu bar, then select the relevant Page or Event campaign.

  • Click on the Auction tab, then click on Bidders.

  • Click on Export auction bid cards.

  • Navigate to your email, and in a few moments, you will receive a message from Givebutter saying that your export is ready to download. In the email, click the Download button (good for 72 hours) or copy and paste the provided link into your browser.

The PDF file will then download to your device. Check your Downloads folder to open in an image or PDF viewer like Preview or Adobe Reader.

Using bidder number cards πŸ”’

Your PDF file will include an instructions page at the beginning of the PDF, including best practices. After the instructions page, you'll find your formatted bidder number cards. Two numbers are formatted per page of 8.5"x11" printer paper. Print out your bidder number cards, cut them in half, and they're ready to use for live auctions, especially for paddle raise events!

The primary function of a bidder number card is to provide a clear and easily visible way for auctioneers and event organizers to identify who is making a bid. Each attendee receives a unique numbered card which corresponds to their bidder number.

When an item is presented for auction, the auctioneer will start the bidding process. To place a bid, a bidder raises their number card. The auctioneer will usually acknowledge the bid by announcing the bidder's number. This confirms that the bid has been recognized. The highest bidder will be declared the winner, and their bidder card number will be recorded.

We recommend exporting a list of your bidders to make it easy to hand out bidder number cards at your event (and reconcile winners at the end).

Troubleshooting πŸ›

If you're generating exports, but aren't receiving our emails, please do the following troubleshooting steps before contacting us:

  • Ensure you've checked your email spam/junk box. Because these emails are sent from no-reply address, email providers may categorize them as junk mail.

  • Sometimes, these messages are filtered into folders previously set up in email accounts, or they're deleted automatically. Check any relevant folders.

  • Search your inbox for "no-reply@givebutter.com".

  • Check your email settings to be sure the address no-reply@givebutter.com is whitelisted, a firewall isn't blocking us, or there isn't some server issue.

If you've tried all of these options, and you're still having trouble receiving export emails, please contact our team – we'd be happy to assist!
