Givebutter can accept donations from all over the world, and all donations are processed in USD.

You can donate to a Givebutter campaign from almost anywhere in the world. All donations are processed in USD. Regarding international donations where currency must be exchanged into USD, please note that your bank or financial institution may apply additional fees.

You must select the correct country code in the billing information screen if you live in a different country.

International phone numbers

Donors can enter international phone numbers. If you're having trouble entering an international phone number, ensure that you're entering it without spaces and parentheses, including a "+" as the international prefix.

  • UK example: 076572274 will not work. +4476572274 will work.

  • Ireland example: 353 (87) 241 3981 will not work. +353872413981 will work.

For users operating campaigns πŸ’°

We are located in the United States and work primarily with US-based entities (or entities with a US presence). To run a campaign on Givebutter, you will need:

  • US bank account (account and routing number, not Payoneer or Paypal)

  • US government-issued EIN number (or US government-issued Social Security Number if you do not have an EIN)

  • US-based phone number


Givebutter does not operate in the following countries at all, some of which we are prohibited from doing business with. Campaigns will not be accessible in these countries:

  • Iran

  • North Korea

  • Libya

  • Pakistan

  • Russian Federation

  • Saudi Arabia

  • Somalia

  • Sudan

  • Syria
