Fundraisers with compelling images that relate to the cause you’re raising funds for can promote engagement from potential donors, which can lead to increased donations. In this guide, we’ll share basic information about the recommended sizes and formats you should use for your images when configuring your Givebutter account, campaigns, and outbound messages.

General requirements 🌐

When uploading an image to Givebutter, the image must be under 5MB and some cases, under 1MB. We currently support JPG and PNG image files.

Saving + best practices ⭐

We recommend using these tips to avoid seeing distortion, pixelation, or slight color changes in your logos and images:

  • Avoid transparent backgrounds (except for logos)

  • Avoid overly large dimensions for images. If the image needs to be resized by Givebutter or a social platform where your campaign is shared, it could impact the quality of the image.

  • Ensure images and logos are saved in RGB color mode before uploading. (CMYK color is used for print media, and colors may not appear accurate if a CMYK image is uploaded.
