About peer-to-peer fundraising 🥇
Peer-to-peer (P2P) fundraisers can receive credit for donations by sharing their custom link, and any donations made will automatically be credited to them. Without using the link, donors still also have the option to assign a donation to a specific member, to ensure credit goes to the correct party. Peer-to-peer fundraising can be used on any Page or Event campaign, and fundraisers manage their own pages from their donor portal.
P2P fundraisers are not admins and do not have access to your dashboard. If you're looking to add or manage account admins or editors, please read our article about managing account users.
What's the difference between peer-to-peer and team fundraising?
Peer-to-peer fundraising only allows individual members to join a campaign. They compete on one level, peer-to-peer.
Team fundraising has teams that include individual P2P members. Teams compete against other teams.

On any Page or Event campaign, click on the Peer-to-peer tab located at the top of your campaign manager. Click on the Individuals tab, then click Enable peer-to-peer fundraising.

How fundraisers manage their pages 🧑💻
Fundraisers manage their pages from the Fundraising section of their donor portal, without needing to contact you. If someone manages pages for more than one person, like a parent with several children, they can manage all of them under one login.

Crediting a transaction to a fundraiser ✅
When a donation is credited to a fundraiser, the credit appears in the Supporter Feed, is added to the fundraiser's total, and impacts their standing on the leaderboard. Fundraisers are also notified of each transaction credited to them. Sometimes, a donor forgets to credit a fundraiser, or a credit needs to be edited after a transaction is processed.
Navigate to the Transactions tab in your dashboard.
Find the transaction you'd like to credit the fundraiser for, then click on the white space to the right of the donor's name. (Do not click on the donor name itself.)
A transaction panel will appear to the right of your screen. In the Member section, click on Credit Team Member. Type in the team member's name and then click Save.
If a donor credits a fundraiser when setting up a recurring plan (or the original donation is credited manually), it'll continue to credit that fundraiser with any subsequent donations processed.
Finding unattributed transactions 🔍
Some transactions may be missing an attribution or assigned to the wrong person. To help catch and correct these, you can use a filter on your Transactions page:
Navigate to your Transactions page and add a filter to select a specific campaign.
Apply the filter Team member is: No individual.
This will surface all transactions that aren't currently credited to a specific person. From here, you can review each donation and either assign it to the correct person or follow up with donors to confirm who they intended to support.
Deleting fundraisers 🗑️
Navigate to the relevant campaign and select the Peer-to-Peer tab.
Select Individuals in the sub-menu.
Click the three dots [...] next to the fundraiser you'd like to remove and select Delete from the dropdown menu.
Click Delete to confirm.
If you delete an individual, any transactions credited to them will stay with your campaign and become unassigned. You can reassign the transactions to a different team member or let them remain without credit.
Disabling peer-to-peer fundraising ❌
If you want to turn off peer-to-peer fundraising and remove the fundraisers from your campaign, head to the Peer-to-peer tab in your campaign manager.
Under the submenu, click Settings. Disable the toggle for Enable peer-to-peer fundraising. This will remove the Team Members section from your campaign page.
Disabling peer-to-peer fundraising doesn't delete fundraiser information. You can reactivate it by enabling peer-to-peer fundraising, which will make your fundraisers visible on the campaign page again.
Leaderboard calculations 🧮
Leaderboards are key to fostering friendly competition among fundraisers and teams, which is often one of the most important elements of successful fundraising campaigns.
To help level the playing field, we factor in not only the number of dollars members have raised but also the number of donors who have credited them. A fundraiser who raises $1,000 from 2 donors is ranked the same as someone who raises $200 from 10 donors. First place is always the top left fundraiser, continuing to the right.
FAQ 🤔
My campaign doesn't have a Peer-to-peer tab at the top!
This is probably because your campaign is a Form campaign. Peer-to-peer features are only available on Page and Event campaigns. The good news is that you can easily change your campaign type at any time!
I need to credit a donation to a fundraiser on a different campaign.
You can! Please see our guide on moving transactions between campaigns. The transaction must be on the correct campaign before you can credit a fundraiser there.
Can I edit the Team Leaderboard or Team Members section headings?
Yes! You can customize the Team Members and Team Leaderboard section titles (labels) on your campaign page. You can find these settings under the Peer-to-peer tab of your campaign. Click on the Settings sub-menu and locate "Custom Team Leaderboard label" or Custom Team Members label".
